Italian Stuffed Bell Peppers
- 6 Green Bell Peppers
- 1 Red Bell Pepper Diced
- 1 Sm Purple Onion Diced
- 1 Sm White Onion Diced
- 4 Garlic Cloves minced
- 1 Package of Cherry Tomatoes Halved
- 1 Pkg of Lean Hamburger Meat
- 1 Pkg of Spicy Breakfast Sausage
- 4 Cups of Cooked Rice
- 1 bag of Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 can of V8
- 1 can of Tomato Paste
Herbs and Spices needed:
- Italian seasoning
- Garlic Powder
- Herbs de Provence
How to make this Recipe:
Cook your 4 Cups of Rice with salt. Once cooked Stir and set aside.
Cut your 6 Green Bell Peppers in Half, clear and core of all seeds and stems. Next sprinkle salt generously on the inside of all Bell Peppers. Next grab yourself a pot large enough to but Bell Peppers in and cover with Water. Boil until you start to see the color change on Bell Peppers. Now drain all water off. Set the Peppers aside facing down.
Now it’s time to Prep and Cook the rest of the ingredients. Cook your Hamburger Meat and Sausage until done . Add your Red Bell Peppers, Onions and Cherry Tomatoes and Garlic Cloves and some Italian Spices as well as Herbs De Provence and Salt, Pepper and Garlic to taste. Add 1/4 cup of cheese and your Can of Tomato Paste.
In a large bowl, add you hamburger mixture and a can of V8, mix well and add your rice until you have a good thick mixture. You can add more spices and cheese now. (Save enough cheese to top your peppers)
Now take your 6 Bell Peppers flip over and add your mixture into each pepper with a generous mound in each. Place each pepper into a oven pan and sprinkle the rest of your cheese.
Bake at 350• for 30 minutes and let sit for 10 minutes and serve. With a nice side salad.
