Italian Grilled Cheese
This twist on a tried and true classic snack, side, or entree has quickly become a home favorite. It may be simple but the flavor is incredible. My hope is that your family loves it as much as we do. This would pair well with a good Tomato Soup.
- 1 Fresh loaf of Sourdough bread or Italian Bread
- 1 bottle of Marinara Sauce
- 1 bunch of Basil
- 1-2 fresh Mozzarella Balls (Sliced later)
- Balsamic Vinegar
- Olive Oil
- Salt & Pepper to taste
(You can add ingredients like Pepperoni, Sliced Garlic, Roasted Red Peppers ..Be Creative)
Directions to make:
Start with a Non Stick Pan, add enough Olive oil to create a lightly browned Toast.
Next if your bread isn’t already pre sliced, go ahead and slice it.
Take your bread and lightly spoon only enough Marinara Sauce to cover from end to end on one slice
Next put your Sliced Mozzarella only enough for some good ole gooeyness.
Before closing your grilled cheese add a layer of fresh Basil.
Make sure each ingredient is evenly spread on your bread and Assemble, build your grilled cheese sandwiches.
Now heat your skillet to a medium heat, place your Grilled Cheese in skillet and let each side get lightly browned and cheese is melted.
Once your Grilled Cheese is cooked gently drizzle Balsamic Vinegar and Salt & Pepper to taste and enjoy!
